A complex tourist facility and lawn park perfect for a day trip
Located in Kikuka, Anzu no Oka serves various needs for tourists visiting Yamaga city. The farmer’s market Apri sells locally harvested fresh vegetables, fruits, and other products such as apricot liqueur, apricot jam, and originally flavored soft swerves. Visitors can also savor local food at the restaurant Anzu Chaya, and sweets factory Yamaga Japanese Chestnut Pastry Shop An. For a memorable experience, try your hands at pressed flower craft at Oshibana Kan, ceramic painting and hand-kneaded pottery at Traditional Craft House Anzu Gama, and beeswax candle making at Hechima Hachimitsu Kan. Families flock here on the weekends to enjoy thrilling rides down the artificial lawn or to play in the large athletic playground, Big Canyon. There are about 800 apricot trees planted within the grounds, which can be seen in full bloom around mid-March.
