Tallest seaside tower in Japan
The Fukuoka Tower is a landmark tower in Fukuoka City, built as a monument of the Asia Pacific Expo held in 1989. It is the tallest seaside tower in Japan at a height of 234 m. From the observation deck on the top floor, you have a 360-degree panorama of Fukuoka's cityscape and Hakata Bay. With the views of Fukuoka Station and Tenjin, the busiest commercial district in Kyushu, to the east, the waterfront area with a yacht harbor and parks to the west, the Sefuri mountain region covered with rich green to the south, and the horizon to the north where the sky and the ocean fuse together, the viewers enjoy sense of spaciousness unattainable on the ground.
