Harazuru Onsen is known for its “double beauty skin” bathwater. Visitors can try it for themselves at Roppokan, a ryokan inn built alongside the Chikugo River. All rooms face the said river and the rural landscape, promising a relaxing stay. The sixth and highest floor of the building has three premium bedrooms with semi open-air baths inside each one; rooms from the third to fifth floor have ten semi-premium rooms (five of which are barrier free) with baths using onsen (hot spring) water to enjoy some private bathtime. Day visits are also welcome at Roppokan – there is an open-air bath overlooking the area and four different communal baths in separate locations for those who want to go bath-hopping. After soaking in the onsen, savor their original Japanese dinner using carefully selected luxurious ingredients and local seasonal food.
